General Tips & Advice
Please ensure that all furniture and
small miscellaneous items are removed from the floor areas where
the flooring is to be fitted.
Please ensure that carpet and gripper
rods are removed where the wood flooring is to be fitted.
Care should be taken to store the wood
flat; packs should NEVER be leaned against a wall stack on their
ends.
Use protective pads under all furniture
legs.
Do not drag furniture or other items
across the floor! Please lift your furniture or slide carefully
by placing a clean piece of carpet under the feet.
Place a rug or runner with an anti-slip
mat in high traffic area to make long term maintenance easier.
A good quality door mat is essential
on the inside and outside of external doorways.
Cleaning Advice
Regularly sweep or vacuum with the brush
down to ensure any grit, dirt or sand is removed to prevent scratching
the surface of your wood floor.
Wipe up spills promptly with a dry cloth.
Use a slightly damp cloth on sticky spills.
Avoid excessive use of water. Only use
a well wrung-out damp mop, NEVER a wet mop.
When you mop or wipe a floor, it should
dry within one minute if you have used the right amount of water.
Do not wax or use furniture polishes
or houshold cleaners on the floors. They may damage or dull your
floor finish.
Always use the correct manufacturer's
recommended flooring cleaning solution.
